Project: Club Viper

This level design project called “Club Viper” which is focused on using a close quarters environment such as a nightclub to require the player to use the surroundings such as chairs, tables and more as cover. They are required to clear out all hostiles who have taken control of the night club.

When making the level, I wanted to try and recreate a tight and confined close quarters environment which was difficult to spot and hear enemies. This would allow me to make the player feel claustrophic and make them take their time proceeding forward within the space.

A nightclub was a great setting for this type of design i wanted to make as the loud music would mask enemy movements and the lighting can be both bright and dark in different areas whilst maintaining the theme of the level.

This project was originally made to test and hone my skills to see if I am capable at creating an urban designed environment before creating my fourth-year project at Abertay University.
